Fastest Way to Solve iPhone 7 Plus Won't Turn On Problem

Received an iPhone 7 Plus with reboot failure, the owner wants us to fix it. The original problem with this iPhone 7 Plus is that the iPhone touch screen shows half bright half black after the boot, when repaired this problem, the iPhone 7 Plus won't turn on.

Repair process

After we received the iPhone 7 Plus, first of all, we need to use JM-P01 Essential Toolkit to disassemble the iPhone, remove the iPhone motherboard and then put observe it under the VGA Camera 7-45X TrinocularStereo Microscope, there has traces of water, and many small original components have been torn down.

Connect iPhone motherboard to the computer with C48 MFI USB Cable, there is no response. With the help of YH898D hot airgun and tweezers, we remove the iPhone NAND Flash, and then connect it to computer again, still no response.

Use Fluke 15B+ DigitalMultimeter to measure the booting power supply and I2C bus, the data is normal. Now we start checking the disconnected iPhone NAND flash that without connecting to the computer. Remove USB tube U4001, measure the resistance of the substrate, we found the E4#(PMU-AOP-TRISTAR-ACTIVE-READY) is short circuit.

Open the WUXINJIDongle to check the iPhone schematic diagram; We can know that this point is connected to the CPU display IC U3703 C2#. So we remove the U3703, and then measure the C2# and U4001 E4# again, the short circuit fault has been resolved.

Reinstalling the iPhoneNAND Flash and U4001, and replace a good U3703, after finish these, assemble the iPhone to test, the iPhone 7 Plus turned on smoothly, the fault was solved.

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

The iPhone 6 display is black after replacing LCD. After checking, the diode data of display socket is normal and all power supply for iPhone display IC  output is normal. Testing by  DC power supply , we find the iPhone current is abnormal. When press the iPhone power button, the boot current is obviously large. The current reached 100mA when press the power button. After remove the display tube, the current still the same, which means there is a short circuit. Measure the voltage output of each circuit of power supply with Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter , then surprised to find that there are really short circuit places. LD010 is short circuit; we suspect that the filter capacitance on the circuit has been penetrated. After remove the iPhone power control IC , we found it is ground short circuit. Open the WUXINJI Dongle  to check the iPhone schematic circuit, we found that this circuit is the display card image transmission MIPI data bus power supply. CPU brea...

Solution: Why iPhone X Voltage Keeps Jumping

After getting the iPhone X motherboard to test, we observe the current value repeatedly jumps between 0mA and 50mA on DC power supply , and it is different from the normal booting current. Next, test whether the power supply of every circuit is normal. PP_VDD_MAIN is measured 4.2V; PP_VDD_BOOST measured is 4.2V. PP1V8-ALWAYS is 1.8V, all the values are normal. But when testing PP1V1_S2, PP0V8_SOC_FIXED_S1, PP1V8_S2 and other circuit voltage that output by power chip U2700 voltage are jumping constantly. According to previous experience, voltage jump is usually caused by a power supply circuit of U2700 output. Measured with digital multimeter , there is no short circuit was found for the dipole value of all power supply to ground. We repaired iPhone 7P before and know that if crystal oscillator is false welding can also cause voltage jumping, And if iPhone CPU  power supply is abnormal also can cause voltage jumping. Check the crystal oscillator we find no problem, then check th...

Solution: iPhone 6 Signal Has No Service

We are going to fix an iPhone 6 device today, the iPhone 6 signal keeps searching state after booting, there is no baseband in local setting, and no series number shows up when dialing *#06# serial number. We find the iPhone 6 LCD (has been replaced once, this kind of situation is preliminary determined for baseband CPU false welding, it is relatively common situation on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6P. Anyway we need to test first! From the simple start, measuring the single iPhone 6 motherboard  baseband power supply, first measure the main power supply 4.2V (C3221_RF). Then testing basebnd output voltage of power supply on C3262, C3252, C3259, C3256, if there is a voltage without first measuring resistance, if resistance is normal, then replace normal baseband power test; if four of them are simultaneously without resistance, then you need to reinstall the baseband CPU. There is a small glass tube base strip above the baseband power supply, it must be noticed when the main ...
