How to Fix iPhone 6 iTunes Error 56

The customer mentioned that he failed to update iPhone 6 IOS system, it is in iTunes data cable mode when we get the phone. We are going to reflash it again by iTunes, when the progress bar reaches 80%, the iTunes reports unknown error 56, generally this error code means the fault is from camera power supply circuit and NFC.




First of all, we are going to measure the iPhone camera circuit, it is normal.

The issue of iPhone baseband CPU we can put aside, if iTunes reports unknown error -1, and then we need to repair iPhone baseband CPU part. But this iPhone can be used normally before flashing, so maybe the NFC module is damaged; we are going to remove the U5301_RF first.

Use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to remove U5301_RF part, and measure the diode data for bottom pin circuit by multimeter, we found it is short circuit.

Connect the WUIXNJI Dongle to check iPhone schematic diagram on computer, we found this circuit is connect to NFC power supply, CPU, and two small capacitors.

Consider the NFC power supply first, put it under the 7-45X Trinocular Stereo Microscope, use hot air gun and tweezers to remove it quickly, there are two iPhone touch ICs around it.


Measure again after removing the NFC power supply part, it shows normal, so we replace the new IC.

Reassemble the iPhone 6 and flash again, it completes successfully.

Solution: Why iPhone X Voltage Keeps Jumping

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

The iPhone 6 display is black after replacing LCD. After checking, the diode data of display socket is normal and all power supply for iPhone display IC  output is normal. Testing by  DC power supply , we find the iPhone current is abnormal. When press the iPhone power button, the boot current is obviously large. The current reached 100mA when press the power button. After remove the display tube, the current still the same, which means there is a short circuit. Measure the voltage output of each circuit of power supply with Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter , then surprised to find that there are really short circuit places. LD010 is short circuit; we suspect that the filter capacitance on the circuit has been penetrated. After remove the iPhone power control IC , we found it is ground short circuit.
