First of all, connect WUXINJI Dongle to check the iPhone 6 touch part power supply circuit.
We can see from the schematic diagram of iPhone touch IC --
U2401 has two sets of power supply circuits, one is 1.8V power supply
PP1V8_GRAPE that comes from iPhone power IC U1202, it can be measured in
capacitor C2403, the other one is 5.1V power supply PP5V1_GRAPE_VDDH that comes
from U1501.
And the iPhone touch IC-- U2402 has three sets
of power supply circuits, PP1V8 comes from iPhone power IC U1202, PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDN is -5.7V that
comes from U1501, PP5V7_SAGE_AVDDH is +5.7V that comes from U1501. The voltage
for PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDN and PP5V1_GRAPE_VDDH can be measured when the iPhone display screen is lit,the data is +5.7V and -5.7V. The voltage for PP1V8_GRAPE and
PP5V1_GRAPE_VDDE(5.1V) can be measured when the iPhone white touch ID is in
good condition. If the iPhone white touch IC is abnormal, then there's no 5.1V.
So, the 5.1V can't be measured, it is not necessarily the problem with the
iPhone power IC, it may be the white touch IC problem.
If iPhone 6 touch function doesn't work well, you can measure the iPhone motherboard first with Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter to check whether there is a 5.1V. If there
is no 5.1V, replace the iPhone power IC U1501, and then test it, if the iPhone
touch function still not working, then you can use QUICK861DW hot air rework station and tweezers to
replace the iPhone white touch IC.
