Fixed: iPhone 5S Fingerprint Part Repair

Have you ever had fingerprint problems on your cell phone? We are going to fix an iPhone 5s device with fingerprint part failure today. Before repairing, you need to know how to diagnose the real fault.


First of all, check the iPhone 5S fingerprint schematic diagram by connecting WUXINJI Dongle, there are mainly three 3 sets of power supply circuits, they ware 1.8V, 3.0V and 16.5V, the 1.8V and 3.0V are available after booting.

The 1.8V and 3V can be measured on the fingerprint socket when press the iPhone power button, and the interface J7 can be measured.

16.5V can not be measured in peacetime. It can only be measured when fingers touch the iPhone Home button to add fingerprints or unlock iPhone with fingerprint.

There are two cases of fingerprint failure, one is failed to open the "add fingerprint" icon, and the other one is "add fingerprint" icon can be opened, but it has no response when you touch the iPhone home button with your finger. The first case is caused by abnormal 1.8V or 3.0V or damaged iPhone home button, the second case is caused by abnormal 16.5V.

According to iPhone schematic diagram, we know that the FL33 easily corrode and cause 1.8V failure, and then causes iPhone fingerprint failure, we can fix it by short connecting. Furthermore, the U1700 is a 4 pin glass tube and it is easy to damage, so the 1.8V can't be outputted, and causes fingerprint addition failed, we can use tweezers to remove the U1700 and then short connect A1 and A2, as shown in picture 1-1. The 3.0V is supplied by iPhone power IC, iPhone power supply IC output 3.0V power supply PP3V0_NAVAJO via FL19 to interface J7, FL19 is easy to corrosion, and caused no 3.0V, so the iPhone fingerprint will be failed，we can fix it by short connection.


The 16.5V is supplied by U10, U10 output 16.5V power supply PP16V5_MESA via FL54 to iPhone tailplug flex cable J7.

FL54 is easy to corrosion and caused PP16.5V can't be sent to fingerprint interface, we can use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to short connect it. U10 also is easy to damage; we can replace the U10 to fix it.

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

The iPhone 6 display is black after replacing LCD. After checking, the diode data of display socket is normal and all power supply for iPhone display IC  output is normal. Testing by  DC power supply , we find the iPhone current is abnormal. When press the iPhone power button, the boot current is obviously large. The current reached 100mA when press the power button. After remove the display tube, the current still the same, which means there is a short circuit. Measure the voltage output of each circuit of power supply with Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter , then surprised to find that there are really short circuit places. Solution: iPhone X Won't Turn On

According to the customer's description, the iPhone X would not turn on after it drop accidentally. Then the cell phone reports error 56 when restore it. How did this happen? Let's test and repair step by step. Since iPhone X motherboard 2 layers are connected through the middle column, the solder points are very easy to get dropped. so we guess that the solder points from NFC chip to the CPU part have fell off. Disassemble the iPhone X by iPhone opening tools , remove the upper board off the main board, when separate the main board we see there is a row of points have fell off. Check the location map on WUXINJI dongle , it is surrounded by a ground wire, in fact, there are 6 useful points dropped. Guide: iPhone 7 Plus Camera Fault Repair

iPhone camera failure is common for most of cell phone repair technicians, today, we're going to fix iPhone 7 Plus camera. According to the holder's description, the front small camera is normal while the rear camera fails to take photos, when turn on it, the iPhone 7 shows black screen.
