Guide: iPhone 6S Charging Part Repair

iPhone charging failure is a common problem complained by users, we are going to repair a iPhone 6S device with abnormal charging fault today, the same problem as we encountered before. First we need to know its working principle.


Open the WUXINJI circuit diagram, we can see that the PP5V0_USB (5.0V) sent from the charging flex cable is through the tail socket to the iPhone 6s charge IC, all the way through the protection tube Qx and send to USB control IC, as shown in picture 1:


If there is a problem of abnormal charging:

1. Power is less and less while charging

2. It can not be charged in turn-off state

3. unrecognized USB, etc.

Solution:

First of all, use Fluke digital multimeter to measure whether there is 5.0V voltage (PP5V0_USB) next to the charge IC and the USB control IC.

If these two 5.0V are available, then replace the charging IC and USB control IC.

If there is 5.0V (PP5V0_USB) next to the charge IC (PP5V0_USB), but no 5V voltage next to USB control IC, the general fault is that it can not be recharged until you turn on the cell phone, or the USB is unrecognized while charging. Under this circumstance, you can use jump wire to do short connection on protection tube Qx as shown in picture 2:


As shown in picture 3, the charge inductance L2300 is damaged, resulting in a charging symbol, but the power consumption will not increase, the solution is to replace a new inductance L2300.

Solution: Why iPhone X Voltage Keeps Jumping

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

The iPhone 6 display is black after replacing LCD. After checking, the diode data of display socket is normal and all power supply for iPhone display IC  output is normal. Testing by  DC power supply , we find the iPhone current is abnormal. When press the iPhone power button, the boot current is obviously large. The current reached 100mA when press the power button. Iphone 6S Enters DFU Mode Cannot Start Fault Repair
