Fixed: iPhone 7 Black Screen Fault

We are going to repair the iPhone 7 today, according to the customer's description, the main fault described is that it can enter the system and the message voice can also be heard, but the iPhone screen does not show anything. The black screen is as shown in picture 1.



First of all, we need to have a test first, connect the adjustable DC power supply, the current shows all normal, and it also respond when connect it to the computer.

Disassemble the iPhone 7 motherboard to measure the basic conditions of the display function by Fluke digital multimeter, it's measured that the seventh pin PP_1V8 of  touch socket(J4502) display power supply at infinite value, now the fault is found.


The power supply is changed from PP_1V8 to PP1V8_LCM_CONN by inductor FL3906 conversion. The end of the inductor has resistance value, and the other end has no value, so we judge it's FL3906 damage.

Connect the jumper wire as shown in picture 3.


Failure is repaired successfully!

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

Solution: Why iPhone X Voltage Keeps Jumping

After getting the iPhone X motherboard to test, we observe the current value repeatedly jumps between 0mA and 50mA on DC power supply , and it is different from the normal booting current. Next, test whether the power supply of every circuit is normal. PP_VDD_MAIN is measured 4.2V; PP_VDD_BOOST measured is 4.2V. PP1V8-ALWAYS is 1.8V, all the values are normal.
