The iPhone 6S reports error 4013, after checking it, we found there are watermarks on the board and it is corroded near the base band. How shall we repair the problem?
Test the iPhone motherboard with DPS DC power supply, the current stuck on
about 80mA, judged as a data-cable mode. Install the iPhone 6S and use iTunes
to flash it, the failure still there, the iTunes still reports error 4013.
At this time,we need to check the iPhone carefully to find out the fault part.
First we check iPhone baseband circuit, if the iPhone baseband power is short
circuit, if the resistance is normal and whether the 19.2 clock is normal.
Replace the better iPhone baseband CPU, if
the iTunes process bar can be moved, then iPhone baseband CPU may be damaged.
After disassemble it, we found the
corrosion phenomenon around the iPhone baseband power is very serious, first
suspected baseband power supply. Use QUICK 861DW hot
air rework station to remove the iPhone baseband power supply, and then install
the new one, but the problem still there after replacement. Next step, we need
to open the iPhone baseband protective cover to check whether the iPhone
baseband is damaged.
Open the baseband protective cover, and
check iPhone logic board under the Stereo ZoomMicroscope, there were no traces of water near the
baseband, and the preservation was intact. Does it mean the iPhone baseband CPU
is damaged internally?
After observe it carefully, we found that
the screw hole BS0502 has been penetrated, and several circuits on the bottom
of the layer board are disconnected.
Reconnect them, install iPhone 6S and flicker again, it works. Enter iOS and test all functions on iPhone, all work is normal, malfunction has been solved.
Summary:
The 4013 faults are not caused by the iPhone baseband problem, which is due to the breakdown of the main CPU because of the threaded holes. It is very important to observe and judge the actual repair.
