Recently, some customers have reported that there is a problem with charging with the iPhone5 and cannot be charged. How to deal with it? The customer didn't give us much description, they just said that the iPhone 5 is no longer fully charged.
We started repairing the faulty phone. As you know, the charging part of the iPhone 5 consists of Q2, U2 and U7. As shown in the figure, we can query the circuit diagram of charging port J7 on the WUXINJI dongle.
The 5V voltage from the tail plug sends two 5V power supplies through Q2. PP5V0_USB_PROTECT and PP5V0_USB_RPROT are sent to U7 and U2 respectively.
In addition, there are two detection pins in the middle of the battery contact J6! They are sent to the power IC-U7, FL10, FL11 through FL10 and FL11 respectively. In the actual mobile phone repair, it is found that the two pins are easy to fall off, and the mobile phone cannot be charged! And restart again and again!
If there is a charging problem, please insert the data cable, use the Fluke digital multimeter to measure whether the C304 has a 5V output, and measure whether the C272 has a 5V output.
If not, you need to test the iPhone 5 charging port flexible cable and short the Q2.
If they can all be measured as 5V, the problem is on U2 or U7.
It should also be noted that battery detection pin problems can cause abnormal charging. The more you charge, the less battery you have, and there will be an automatic restart failure.
