Water Damage Influence iPhone 6S Plus Normal Charging


I am thinking have you ever met the trouble with water damaged phone?



After iPhone got water in accidentally, it will be slow to charge and even cannot be charged in a few days. How do you solve it? That's really a tiring trouble!

Repair Process


Use a tester battery to offer power to motherboard and test. USB current voltage meter shows that charging current jumps from 0.08~0mA. This phenomenon that there is no current when charging, but shows charging icon is called “battery drains”.

The charging chip cannot output charging voltage normally, which causes the above problem. The frequent faulty points are USB chip damage or abnormal working condition of charging chip. Considering the inflow water in it, first we test the charging chip U2300. The charging management chip U2300 in bitmap is shown in the picture.

The most frequently damaged parts in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are voltage bootstrap capacitor C1402 and inductor L1401. The charging chip of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus is the same as iPhone 6. Based on the repairing experience of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, we observe the surrounding circuits of U2300 under microscope and find that voltage bootstrap capacitor C2300 darken seriously. Therefore, we replace the capacitor and turn on to charge. Trouble is removed.

In most of the cases, if iPhone 6S charging current is small or does not exist, we will replace USB Control IC and charging IC. If the problem is still the same, then we should check the charging voltage boost inductor and charging bootstrap capacitor.

iPhone 6 Display Failure after Replacing LCD

The iPhone 6 display is black after replacing LCD. After checking, the diode data of display socket is normal and all power supply for iPhone display IC  output is normal. Testing by  DC power supply , we find the iPhone current is abnormal. When press the iPhone power button, the boot current is obviously large. The current reached 100mA when press the power button. After remove the display tube, the current still the same, which means there is a short circuit. Solution: Why iPhone X Voltage Keeps Jumping

After getting the iPhone X motherboard to test, we observe the current value repeatedly jumps between 0mA and 50mA on DC power supply , and it is different from the normal booting current. Next, test whether the power supply of every circuit is normal. PP_VDD_MAIN is measured 4.2V; PP_VDD_BOOST measured is 4.2V. PP1V8-ALWAYS is 1.8V, all the values are normal. But when testing PP1V1_S2, PP0V8_SOC_FIXED_S1, PP1V8_S2 and other circuit voltage that output by power chip U2700 voltage are jumping constantly. According to previous experience, voltage jump is usually caused by a power supply circuit of U2700 output. Guide: iPhone 7 Plus Camera Fault Repair

iPhone camera failure is common for most of cell phone repair technicians, today, we're going to fix iPhone 7 Plus camera. According to the holder's description, the front small camera is normal while the rear camera fails to take photos, when turn on it, the iPhone 7 shows black screen.
