Received an iPhone 6S, it was not displayed after turning on. The iPhone 6S accidentally fell into the water, but the owner quickly took it out and it didn't seem to have been much damaged, but the iPhone 6S could still be turned on. How to repair the problem? Let's check in the article!
After receiving iPhone 6S, we need to test it first. Press the power button on the iPhone and the screen stays black. We try to call it using another iPhone. It works. The iPhone 6S responds, but the iPhone LCD screen is still not displayed.
Open the iPhone and connect it to the DC power supply to test the iPhone boot current, the current data tested is normal,
which means the iPhone can be turned on smoothly. Now, we confirm the failure
is that the iPhone doesn’t display.
Take out the iPhone motherboard, observe it
under the Stereo Zoom Microscope,
there are small trace of water on the iPhone motherboard. Carefully clean it
up, and then continue to observe.
Observing the iPhone display socket and
those inductance resistances around it, we found the FL4220 is virtual welding.
We can open the WUXINJI Dongle to
find the FL4220 place in the iPhone schematic diagram.
Now, use tweezers to
remove the FL4220, and the use QUICK 861DW hot
air rework station to short connect it.
Check if the surrounding inductor also has a virtual weld, if yes, we
can short connect it by jump wire. After observation, there is no other
inductors has a virtual weld.
Install iPhone and test it. Now the iPhone LCD screen is displayed normally. The repair is finished.
